Peter is president of London, Ontario-based Technology Investments Management Corp. (TIMCO), a firm that picks investments for the $71.5-million Canadian Science and Technology Growth Fund. Peter has had many years of entrepreneurial experience. Starting with a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1976, his first job was at the accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand. He earned his chartered accountant designation in 1979. After a few years in accounting, he worked briefly as a financial advisor at Richardson Greenshields of Canada Ltd. before joining, the Mercantile Bank of Canada in 1984 (later acquired by the National Bank of Canada) as a commercial lender. In 1989 he became involved with Rambri Management Inc.which specializes in analyzing and fixing corporations' problems, as well as venture capital investments. In 1996, he was hired by TIMCO shareholders to run the fund.
Paul Johnson is the President of Pine Ridge Associates, a firm dedicated to helping build successful businesses by providing active coaching and advice to CEOs of high potential entrepreneurial organizations. Pine Ridge services range from several hours per month of CEO coaching to engagements as a fulltime contract CEO. Paul’s work history prior to founding Pine Ridge includes venture capital management as a Partner of Fullarton Capital and general management; as both a consultant with McKinsey & Company and as President of Accuride Canada, the world’s largest manufacturer of truck wheels. He has a strong experience base in technology commercialization, business strategy, industrial sales and marketing and entrepreneurial finance. Paul holds a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Glen presently serves as President of The Stiller Centre in London, Ontario, an incubator facility for new and developing technology companies. He has over 19 years experience working with emerging technology companies, both as a start-up CEO and in early-stage venture capital. His contribution to the Stiller Centre focuses on diligence in strategic planning, overview of Stiller Operations and structuring of a dynamic entrepreneurial culture within the Stiller Centre and the greater commercialization community. Glen is also a partner with Fullarton Parnters Inc., a specialized contract management and investment firm working exclusively with business families and private companies.
