FAQ

The DiAxiom Solar Energy System (DSES) is a new alternative energy process that combines the benefits of both solar and wind power technologies into a single, superior, comprehensive system that maintains the environmental integrity and benefits of both technologies while increasing the amount of power generated and the reliability of the overall system.   In conjunction with the DSES, wind turbine power output can be enhanced up to 120% over wind systems alone, and reliability of wind power generation improves dramatically.

The technology behind this project addresses both short and long-term global energy needs while, at the same time, helping to resolve the environmental issues associated with conventional energy sources.

The DiAxiom DSES is comprised of fixed, pre-engineered cross-member supports between adjacent wind turbine towers to which are mounted the mirrored array components of the system.  The arrays are mounted several meters above the ground, enabling the ground under them to be used for agriculture or other purposes.  Each of the arrays moves automatically on a uniquely designed mounting mechanism to track the sun both vertically and horizontally to maximize the efficient collection of solar energy.

Solar light energy from these arrays is focused on a central tower that collects the energy in the form of heat, storing it in an environmentally sound storage medium such as molten salts, or a biomass reactor, for future use.  When required by the system (i.e. when there is less optimum wind power to turn the blades) stored heat energy is transferred to a heat exchanger to convert water into steam.  The steam, in turn, is used to drive a hydraulic system to operate the turbine generator and produce power.

Inherent in this system is the increased efficiency of the new "Solar Collector Boiler" developed by DiAxiom Technologies Inc..
