As discussed earlier, NOHRMAN mimics the natural chemical process of a thunderstorm to create both electrical energy and hydrogen.  This is a complex process and storm systems are obviously, very difficult to study in their natural state, which is one of the reasons NOHRMAN was created in the first place - to mimic nature in the lab.   Through the SCIENCE sections of this website, we will endeavour to present novel theory to show how lightning is formed and how the chemical reactions that cause lightning effect our environment.   It must be emphasized that what will be demonstrated is new theoretical science that challenges contemporary concepts, however, rationale given is solid and will be verified with the successful development and operation of the NOHRMAN (H+e) System.

Our theory suggests that lightning is a two stage process.  In the first stage, an exothermic reaction creates acid which, in turn, ionizes to create positively charged ions.  The second stage causes the formation of negatively charged ions, and lightning occurs when the electrons from the negative ions flow back to the positive ions.  There is an intermediate stage where charged salts of the acid are transported in the storm system and this is the process that helps create charge separation in a storm.

In the following diagram, for comparative purposes, we have scaled up the  NOHRMAN (H+e) System and placed it beside the lightning process to show how each section of NOHRMAN coincides with the lightning process in our atmosphere.

  •     H2O = Water
  •     SO2 = Sulfur Dioxide
  •     SO3 = Sulfur Trioxide
  •     SO4-2 = Sulfate -2

In the lightning process, negatively charged electrons flow from the cloud to the ground and on rare occasions, back up to the positive H+, creating what is known as "positive lightning".  Positive lightning is 10 times more powerful then ordinary negative lightning but only occurs about 5% of the time.  It is this positive lightning form that is mimicked in the NOHRMAN (H+e) System.

In NOHRMAN we manage this power to generate electrical energy on a much smaller (and safer) scale than in a thunderstorm.   In the diagram above, neither the negative lightning on the right side, nor the positive lightning on the left side, actually occur in the NOHRMAN system.  The energy is, instead, transferred as electricity between large electrodes in the upper and lower chambers of NOHRMAN, through a conductive connecting cable.  We can tap into this electron flow, or electricity, and use the electricity to power electrical devices.

The Blue Jets shown at the top-left of the thunderstorm diagram, release positive protons i.e. hydrogen, from the storm, into the upper atmosphere.   With NOHRMAN, on the other hand, we capture and extract the hydrogen from the system so it can be used as hydrogen fuel in our homes and vehicles.

Albert Einstein said, "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent.  It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."
