Martyn Smith, President & CEO
Martyn, a University of Western Ontario Economics and Business graduate, brings thirty years of broad business experience to DiAxiom with senior leadership roles in business development and operations at both the corporate and small business levels. Martyn has built and led Marketing operations for major Canadian consumer goods companies while overseeing market research and development initiatives and orchestrating the design, development and marketing of hundreds of commercial, institutional and consumer products and services. He has negotiated and coordinated numerous strategic alliances and partnering arrangements within the Canadian corporate and service arenas. Martyn has had extensive involvement with all facets of corporate operations, including cross-border relations. An admitted perfectionist, Martyn strives for the highest level of quality and performance for both himself and those around him while instilling a sense of pride in both personal and company achievements.
Larry Patterson, VP & COO
Larry has 35 years of business background with a major international firm bringing senior management experience to DiAxiom and expertise in areas of operations management, production, product development, and process improvement. Having strong experience in product and process development, Larry has led team ideation and creation of new products to production ready status and market success. Larry’s activity in the company is on an as needed basis, providing advice and management expertise until his retirement from his current firm. Larry provides extensive manufacturing and production experience and is an key member of the management team. He will be instrumental in the design and development of manufacturing facilities and processes over both the short and long term.
Tom Savage, Director of R&D
Tom is the primary inventor of the NOHRMAN (H+e) Hydrogen-Electric System and the DiAxiom Solar-Wind System (DSES) and the majority shareholder of DiAxiom Technologies Inc.. Tom brings twenty years of business/ entrepreneurial expertise to these projects. Tom was educated in aeronautics engineering, electronics and computer science in the Canadian Air Force and has a varied background in these areas, owning and operating a computer software development company in the mid 80’s. Tom built a team to develop a full suite accounting and inventory control system for several local manufacturers. He has owned and operated several successful start-up companies varying from electronics design, to computer hardware and software development, to a science and technology educational firm providing workshops in Ontario schools. He started the Rehabilitation Engineering Department at the Thames Valley Children’s Centre in London, Ontario in the early 80’s, designing computer-based augmentative communications devices for physically challenged, nonverbal children and young adults. His military background and diverse experiences make him a strong, determined motivator of new ideas and his inventive sprit is the driving force behind DiAxiom Technologies’ new product developments. As the Chairman of DiAxiom Technologies Inc., he leads through cooperative decision making and a team approach to operational oversight and corporate governance, encouraging individuals to collaboratively develop strategic plans and business processes in their areas of expertise, while maintaining a global overview of the operation.
